Salvation in Jesus Christ Alone
The world says that there are many paths to spritual enlightenment, that there are many gods. We believe that there is only one way to God, through his son Jesus Christ. God sent his only son on a divine rescue mission for us, to save us from our sin, our dispair, our hopelessness – our salvation from death comes through the live of only one and his name is Jesus! John 3:16…..
Lordship of Jesus Christ
There is a distinction between acknowledging that Jesus died for you and taking the next step and letting him be Lord of your life. When we give up our will for his will for our lives, we allow Jesus to be our Lord & King. Romans 6:23, 10:9
Empowering of the Holy Spirit
Upon accepting the grace of forgiveness in Jesus Christ, God grants us his own spirit to be our encourager, comforter, power and peace. Each of us is given unique but essential gifts to serve him and we are commanded to let the fruit of his presence be lived in our daily lives. Eph:1:13-14, Acts 1:8
Authority of Scripture
The Bible contains all things necessary for salvation, it is the path for our feet and the place we turn to daily listen to God speak through this: his inspired word. It is where we find comfort, hope, strength and insight and one of the primary ways that the Lord forms us as his own. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119
Priority of Prayer
Prayer is the most powerful force in heaven and on earth. The opportunity and call to prayer is both a great privilege and awesome responsibility. A significant aspect of Church of the Messiah is the prayer life of her members. Phil. 4: 4-8, Eph. 6:18-20
Holy Communion
The bread and wine we receive in Holy Communion are blessed to be the sacrament of our union with Christ. Holy communion also describes what we experience within the body of Christ as we live our lives as brothers and sisters, learning together to live a life of forgiveness, grace, hope and love. 1 Cor. 11:17-34
Faithfulness of the Great Commission
Since we have been given such a priceless gift, we are called to share this precious gift to the world arounds us, in our homes, our schools, our jobs and our community.
